Description
Two aircraft of the 31st 'Tiger' Squadron of the 10th Wing of the Belgian Air Vorce, based at Kleine Brogel Air Base.
The front one is a Republic F-84F-66-RE Thunderstreak (s/n 53-6791; FU-143) as it was in the late 1950s and early 1960s; the one in the background is a Lockheed (General Dynamics) F-16AM-20 MLU Fighting Falcon (s/n 89-0002; FA-124) as it was in 1999, with the then experimental tactical tail codes and low-viz (which have since replaced with the normal, "high-viz") 'Tiger' squadron markings.
Both models are in 1/72 scale; the F-84F is an Airfix kit with DACO-Products decals, while the F-16AM is a Revell kit built pretty much from the box.
