Kinkempois yard (Liège, Belgium), September 13th 2014
One of the most elusive locomotives of the SNCB's Series 18 to find - officially, 1861 and 1877 (seen coupled to 1861) are held by Siemens, they are the only two HLD 18 (II)s which have not yet done any revenue services for the SNCB/NMBS yet. Instead, they were used for tests and software upgrades for the entire HLD 18 (II) series, and have so far done more miles on the Wildenrath and Velim test circuits than they have on the Belgian Railways.
So it was a bit of a surprise to find the two of them at Kinkempois...
