It's February 1957, and having arrived out of Buffalo an hour earlier on flight 210*, Convair CV-240 N1019C of Mohawk Airlines awaits its departure for Detroit on "bus-stop" flight 203* later on in the day.
* Mohawk Flight 210 arrived New York/Newark out of Buffalo via Elmira-Corning and Binghamton, except on Sundays when the flight originated out of Elmira-Corning.
** Mohawk Flight 203 departs New York/Newark for Detroit/Willow Run via Binghamton, Elmira-Corning, Buffalo and Erie.

I remember my Dad flying in and out of the Elmira-Corning Airport on Mohawk in the 60s.
We used ti call it Slowhawk. Then it was replaced by Alleghany Airlines which we called Agony Airlines,
then it was replaced by U.S. Air and we called it U Despair!
