Sint-Amands 050715 Tubize 2007 AD05

Slightly out of its usual environment, steam locomotive AD05 of the "Three Valleys Railways" (CFV3V) approaches the Sint-Amands station on the SDP heritage railway line.

Built by the Ateliers Métallurgiques de Tubize in 1926 as a light industrial locomotive, "locomotive 2007" became the fifth locomotive of the André Dumont coalmines of Waterschei/Genk. (AD05)

As such, she is closely related to the SDP's Helena, which was built as "Tubize 2069" only one year later, in 1927.



She continued service as a shunter on the coalmine's premises until the mine's closure in the late 1970s, after which she and one of her sister locomotives were taken up for preservation by the CFV3V.
