A sibling to locomotive AD08, locomotive AD05 started life as locomotive 2007, built by the Tubize factories in 1926. She was built as an industrial locomotive for the coal mines of André Dumont in Waterschei near Genk, where she served well into the 1970s. After her retirement, she was purchased by the CFV3V (Chemin du Fer à Vapeur des Trois Vallées), together with her sister locomotives AD08 (no.4057, °1950) and AD09 (no.4480, °1951) in the late 1970s.
