"So bored..." Meera sighed, as she sat underneath the torch on the cellar wall, while patting her Quag Fynngar.  "So want get out and play..."

"Be grateful," the man said, as he took yet another book off the shelf, and put it on the stack Cyrti was holding.  "There are so many worse things Pumori could have done to punish you."

"But, Master Vince..." Meera began, before thinking differently.  A full week of having to sort the books of the White Fang's library instead of being allowed to play outside?  It seemed so unfair!  After all, Cyrti had never told them about what she was about to do...!

"Father?" Koyi said, "it really wasn't our idea, you know."

"Yes," Vince replied, as he pulled yet another book from the shelves, "and that is why you don't have to wear a kitten-suit, unlike your friend here.  Be glad you're still allowed to follow your archery and scouting lessons - and perhaps I can also give you some extra lessons in reading and writing, after all, Pumori never specified what you were supposed to do in the library."

"...Now, Cyrti, you take these books to Azik, and tell her they are the ones from that Crazy Orc Healer in Skallgard she asked for.  And after you come back, take the stack Koyi is holding and take them to Meera's father, okay?"

"... but... then I have to cross the town twice in this fucking kitty-suit..." Cyrti replied.

"Language, lady!" Vince warned her sternly.  "And you wouldn't want Pumori to think that you're trying to avoid your punishment, right?"
